As ever, it was a great privilege to sit down with cardiologist Dr Aseem Malhotra, to talk about stress and the effect it has on our bodies and health. Dr Malhotra is one of my heroes. He’s never afraid to speak the truth and take on the big guys and corporate greed.

His sole aim is to serve his patients with integrity and truth

He wants people to be healthy and happy and is an ardent health campaigner. As you can imagine, he’s definitely my kind of person.

I talk about stress a lot on here, as it’s something that I often struggle with. I know I’m not alone in this and stress has become the curse of the modern era. Even knowing what I do about stress, I still found what Dr Malhotra reveals in our talk quite alarming.

It turns out stress really is a killer

He explains in great detail what it does and why. For example, it makes your blood sticky meaning a heart attack is more likely, as well as compromising the immune system.

We talk about the different ways to tackle stress. These are the things I constantly write about and also post on social media.

He reiterates my belief that breathing is an incredibly important tool

In case you don’t already know, I’ve put a video up on the Ageless YouTube channel with a great breathing exercise, specially effective for anxiety. You can find it here:

I hope you find the video useful and if you haven’t already subscribed to my channel, perhaps you could take a moment to do so?
