Aamer Khan with Glynis

Non-surgical treatments for the eye area (video)

I’m not sure what I would do without Dr Aamer Khan from the Harley Street Skin Clinic.  He has been a constant stream of expert information for Ageless and has very generously given me the time to conduct a number of interviews now.

I learn something new each time I talk to Dr Khan

Although sometimes it’s not what I want to hear!

In today’s video I ask him about treatments around the eye area.

The good news is there are a number of non-surgical eye treatments

However by the time you get to 50 or 60, fillers and botox become some of the more effective treatments. In fact most of his suggestions are a bit more full on than I’m used to but it’s because it’s extremely difficult to get a visible result without surgery.  Sadly the more gentle treatments like radio therapy ( much loved by me ) are going to give a less noticeable effect.

I believe that gentle treatments have a cumulative effect

So that even though you don’t see a big difference after each session, by doing them consistently, it delays the inevitable. I won’t be giving up on these that’s for sure.

My favourite radio frequency treatment for the eye area is called Pelleve. Here’s an article I wrote about it:

Pelleve Skin Firming

But at the end of the day, it’s a personal choice and each individual will decide what they feel happiest with. For some that may be a surgical procedure and for others an organic oil. Each to his own I say.

He also mentions some treatments that I’m not familiar with, like fibroblast nitrogen plasma, and it’s given me food for thought as it sounds highly effective. I might just give it a try at some stage although I strongly suspect it might be a tad painful, hence his mentioning the need for valium (!?!)….but if I do, you’ll be the first to know.

In the meantime I hope you enjoy the video and feel that you now know all the options available to you and what they entail.
