The Results of Trichotherapy Trial for Hair Thinning

Glynis BarberHair 5 Comments

Three months ago 3 Ageless subscribers were given the opportunity to try out hair guru Philip Kingsleys’ new ground breaking product for helping hair that’s thinning, Trichotherapy. The ladies were given a 3 month supply of the product worth £200 each. So is this product as amazing as Philip Kingsley claims (his trials revealed that it helped 79% of people who tried it) and worth the money?

Here is what happened to our 3 ladies in their own words:

Before – My hair has always been thick and course with a natural wave. I’ve noticed my hair brush is becoming full of hair and also my hair has become lank and lifeless. I’ve been noticing this for about 14 months. The worst part is on the sides of my head and around the face.

After – My hair has improved greatly. I’ve also been using the Philip Kingsley shampoo for itchy scalps, which helps calm down my scalp, and my hair feels softer and easier to manage. As for the amount falling out, all I can say is there is now less in my brush which means more on my head! Before the PK treatment I felt my hair had aged and lost it’s lustre. Now I feel it’s my hair again with bounce, curl and fullness. I can’t thank you enough for giving me this opportunity. Although my funds are limited, Philip Kingsley products are amazing and I will continue to use his range whenever I can.

Before – I’ve been aware of my hair coming out in much larger quantities than is normal for a few weeks but have been in some sort of denial. De-clogging the hoover was an eye opener however. Then when it came out in handfuls in the shower, I knew I had to do something about it.

After – My hair was coming out all over rather than in patches (which I suppose is fortunate). Blood tests showed up nothing untoward and so being given the opportunity to try Trichotherapy was a huge psychological boost. Two weeks into the course, my hairdresser declared that “new, baby sprouts of hair” were appearing. Too soon for the treatment to be having an effect possibly as hair grows in 3 month cycles, so maybe just time for normal hair growth? After a few weeks, my hair felt quite dry which surprised me because I’d gone cold turkey with the waving irons but I knew I had to stick with it. Now, having just completed the course, I think it was just the effect of my volumising spray coating the hair because I don’t think my “clean” hair has ever felt so soft and healthy. it’s thicker than ever at the roots and although the lengths are obviously still going to be thinner, my hair feels in wonderful condition.

Before – My hair has been thinning since the menopause. It’s very noticeable on the top and front. I hope to restore my hair to how it used to be to give me more confidence.

After -I was really pleased to have the opportunity to test this product out. I am 54 and since going through the menopause my hair has got a lot thinner. It does not fall out just seems to have thinned out.

When I started the Trichotherapy I stopped taking my usual B complex and vitamin C so any results were down to the Trichotherapy. I took two tablets per day and used the products daily. Every week I would examine my hair to see if there was any new growth, but no nothing, I was very disappointed. Right at the end of the trial I started to notice little fluffy new hair growth at the roots and around my hair line. I was so happy to find this. So for me it took a long time to see any results but finally something is happening. I think I will now have to purchase another box and see if I get even better results with continued use. I’m not sure if in my after photos my hair looks any thicker, but I do have new growth at the roots.

I, for one, am very impressed with these (completely authentic and honest) results. I was a bit worried about Karen when I heard she wasn’t getting any results and feared she might be one of the 21% rather than the 79% who had success in the trials. I’m delighted that she’s now showing some regrowth. Phew! I know it’s pricey but it’s still very comforting to know there’s a product that can actually help.

Before this trial, I honestly had no idea how widespread hair loss for women was, particularly after 40 and more so after the menopause. I take my thick hair for granted but would be distraught if it started falling out. I have asked Philip Kingsley for more of his very helpful articles on the subject. If anyone can help it’s him. Watch this space.

  1. Hi Glynis.
I have had a huge amount of hair loss since June 13. I have always had such thick hair. Really thick and my hairdresser said I was the one customer she had to take an extra 15 mins to blow dry. Anyway to cut a long story short it turned out it was the beta blockers my doctor had put me on. Propranalol. I looked it up and people are actually ending up bald on these tablets! I stopped them immediately 3 months ago. Only now and with the help of taking Biotin twice daily is my hair loss abating. I am 53 years of age and my hair has always been my crowning glory. Hopefully one day it will return as before. Perhaps in your position Glynis you could highlight this problem. I was completely in the dark until I realised I started loosing hair round about the same time as starting these meds.
    Take care
    Sandie
