Exercise is one of the greatest things we can do for both our health and our mental well being. But it’s not always easy to find the time in our busy lives to do it consistently. This, often coupled with a lack of motivation, can lead to us doing little or no exercise at all.
Say hello to exercise snacking
No, I had never heard of such a thing either until I met personal trainer and author, Lavina Mehta MBE.
In our interview below, she explains how tiny little bite sized chunks of exercise, spread throughout the day is just as effective as doing a long workout. In fact, she says research shows that 11 minutes a day will reduce your risk of mortality. She goes on to say that doing more than that is even better, but 11 minutes is still hugely beneficial.
We also discuss her latest book, The Feel Good Fix. This book is packed full of useful information as well as a whole section on different exercise snacks for you to do.
She focuses quite a bit on the menopause and peri-menopause and the associated issues that arise.Things like weight-gain and brain fog can all be improved with exercise.

Hi Glynis,
This sounds fantastic, I have ordered my book, I like the fact that it is about lifestyle changes rather than going the medication route , I can’t wait to start , and brilliant that it’s small snacks, achievable, even if tired, or stressed .
Thank you ☺️ Hope you are enjoying your holiday.
