I’ve written about Marie Reynolds, one of the top skin specialists in the UK, a few times before. She does fabulous face treatments and, to everyone’s joy and happiness, she brought out a wonderful range of skin products (which I’ve also written about). I literally try each thing she comes out with the moment it’s produced.

Trust me when I tell you that Restore face mask is THE product to have in your cupboard

And I’m not alone in thinking her products are top notch. They quickly got snapped up by the exclusive website Net-a-Porter and will soon be on sale in the US.

So of course I’m jumping for joy at her new product. And I can tell you right now that it’s going to be a favourite of mine.

Simply called fAce, this dry oil is sensational

This Pro Vitamin A Night Oil is like a pre-cursor to vitamin A which is a pre-cursor to retinol. People get amazing results with retinols and it’s an incredible anti-ageing tool. But, and this is a BIG but, retinols can be very harsh on the skin. They can cause dryness and flaking. I know this from personal experience.

For years I tried some natural retinols and my skin never ever got used to it

After about 5 years my skin started flaking so alarmingly I had to stop all my skin products for a good year. It took a long time to get my skin back to normal.

Marie wanted to make fAce as gentle as possible making sure it caused no irritation or inflammation

It means it will take longer to see results but that is well worth it in my book. As Marie says, it’s all about coercing the skin and supporting it in doing what it’s supposed to be doing rather than forcing it.

It’s a dry oil, which means it absorbs instantly leaving no greasy residue and you can apply your usual night cream or oil over it. It’s full of bioactive ingredients that are non-irritating like rosehip, buruti and passionfruit oil. It has abundant anti-oxidants that calm and soothe the skin. The pro vitamin A is very gently converted to retinol by a specific enzymatic process that reduces the level of toxicity that may be absorbed by harsher retinols.

This non-aggressive oil can be used on even the most sensitive of skins

It claims to heal, rejuvenate, nourish and brighten. And of course is great for replenishing and preventing ageing skin.

I’m definitely in this for the long haul.
