Glynis and Michael Sitting on Sofa

A 10 minute guided meditation

Recently I posted a “Beginners guide to meditation” which was a video I did with my husband Michael Brandon.

You can watch it HERE

We got many requests to do more so we have now created a 10 minute guide of pure relaxation.

Michael does all the work for you and guides you through the whole process. Just get yourself sitting comfortably, set your phone to record (so you can repeat whenever needed) and off you go.

This type of guided relaxation is wonderful to help you get off to sleep at night as well

Once you’re ready for bed, turn your  light off, lie comfortably on your back and put the recording next to your bed. Have it at a comfortable volume but not too loud. The chances are slim that you’ll still be awake at the end of the recording.

You can use this meditation and the Beginners one over and over again

Each time you will get something different out of it. When the recording finishes you may continue to stay in meditation until you feel ready to come out.

You are in charge and can do whatever feels right for you.

Enjoy.

  1. That was amazing. I nearly fell asleep! I think I could meditate listening to Michael reading a telephone directory. What a voice!

  2. Thank you so much for this. After a hectic week this has been so relaxing. After turning 58 last week and a lovely hectic week in New York seeing plenty of sights and loads of walking and a long flight home to Heathrow, this relaxation was bliss. Adjusting to hardly any sleep was hard but New York was worth it. Seeing the Empire State, Central Park, Times Square, Statue of Liberty, a carriage ride in Central Park for my birthday and the zoo was just unbelievable xx

  3. Thank you Michael and Glynis. I mean this without being sounding too mawkish. I’ve recently been through a lot of emotional trauma and upheaval in the last twenty years and wouldn’t wish it on anyone let alone my worst enemies. I’ve come out of this a stronger person despite having a diagnosis of autism before my 40th birthday. I still find it extremely hard to express my thoughts and let these thoughts become clouds to drift away.

I never knew that Michael would have such a calming and gentle soothing voice (despite the sound of a Jenny wren outside trying her best to interrupt him) on me. That for 10 minutes he would erased some of my inner most fears and anxieties both first thing in the morning and last thing in the evening.

If only people had time to stop for 10 minutes and listen to the sound of rain, bird song and other such natural sounds instead of looking down on their mobile phones. There is currently a rumble of thunder with a brief flash of lightning outside my window.

    Thank you both once again.

  4. I now have the confidence to meditate after years of thinking this wouldn’t work for me.

I do this twice a day, once in the morning and last thing at night. It has truly enlightened my whole senses.

Do you know there’s a Jenny wren (one of England’s smallest birds) trying to interrupt?? I’ve got pigeons as a distraction but I let them go into the clouds.

  5. Thank you both of you for doing this. I recommend this to anyone.

I started following this a month ago and it has helped me enormously for a deep sleep and to prepare myself for the start of a new working day.

I do this twice a day, sometimes up to four times a day.

Michael has a calming and reassuring voice that de-stresses, soothes and calms.
