It may seem odd that I’m writing about dating and dating apps on Ageless. specially as a married woman, and as it’s not obviously a health issue, but I think it’s incredibly apt.
I’m interested in every aspect of a woman’s life as she navigates through life
“Navigating” is the key word. If you’re not navigating one thing, it’s another. It’s all part of the journey and whether you’re single, divorced, widowed or married, you’re navigating the complexity of life as it speeds by.
There are important lessons to be learnt along the way. And listening to my single friends as they fearfully open a dating app for the first time, has been absolutely illuminating and alarming in equal measure.
That’s why, when I saw that Fiona Lambert, former fashion CEO and now a best-selling author, had published a book on dating, I immediately reached out to her. I first interviewed Fiona last year about her book, “Invincible not Invisible”.
Fiona’s had an action-packed year dating for the first time since her twenties
A completely different universe to that first time around back in the eighties. As she embarked on the apps, facing issues she’d never even dreamt of, she wished that there was a book to help her through. There wasn’t, so she decided to write one herself.
As with her other book, Fiona shows her executive skills and breaks everything down to a perfectly easy-to-do plan. She gives incredibly sensible advice and guides you towards properly thinking things through so that goals are clear and boundaries are set.
It’s a brilliant book and I would say that every single woman out there within a decade or so of 60, should have it to hand.
Now hear what Fiona has to say about it all:
