According to Grace Fodor, the inspirational founder of Studio 10, our makeup comes down to 3 steps. A mature face needs a foundation on which all other makeup can be added.
This keeps us looking fresh and dewy and we can then keep it completely natural or go into glam mode.
She calls it the 3 S’s:
- Skin
- Shade
- Shape
In the video below she talks us through these 3 steps.
Skin
To even out skin tone, we need some form of coverage. Tinted moisturiser or foundation. But when it comes to a mature skin, texture is key. We want dewy and fresh, not matt and drying.
She designed the Studio 10 foundation with this in mind.
Shade
Our face needs some colour to make skin look bright and fresh. Blusher or bronzer on the cheeks is the way to go. But once again, it needs to be dewy. Forget powders which will sit on top of your skin. Studio 10’s blusher is a peachy gel.
Shape
The 2 key points on the face that need a good shape are our brows and our lips. A good brow shape is key to how our face looks and can age us up or down by a decade. Everyone needs a great eyebrow pencil in their makeup bag.
The Studio 10 eyebrow pencil is the perfect colour for nearly everyone.
Lips tend to shrink as we get older and the outside line of the lips becomes less defined. It’s amazing the difference a lip pencil can make. Grace has designed one the colour of rosy lips to look completely natural while enhancing our lip shape.
You can see how she applies and uses these products in the video below. It’s full of tips and tricks. These are the basics you need to know.
